Role and Responsibilities

As a Remote Support Engineer, you will join our passionate customer support team to provide remote end user support and infrastructure support to our valued customers.

You will also assist with resolving technical issues identified by our proactive monitoring systems along with other customer related tasks. You must be a team player who enjoys helping customers and colleagues alike.

Minimum Experience Required:

You will have a minimum of 4 years (Lever 2/ Level 3) experience supporting and maintaining multiple customers with exposure to most if not all of the following.

• Desktop support including office application support
• Microsoft windows server administration and support
• Firewall administration & support (Fortinet Advantageous)
• Wired and wireless network support
• Remote access VPN support
• Office 365 support and configuration
• Resolving monitoring alerts
• Resolving backup alerts

Attributes Required:

Role and Responsibilities
The Technical Project Manager will manage all projects from end to end. The role also involves managing the roster of technical resources to complete the projects.
This role is pivotal to the Managed Services Engineers. You will be required to work directly with the Engineers to manage delays, parts required and customer expectations. The candidate must be able to manage and prioritise projects on a daily basis, whilst resourcing the relevant staff required.
The Technical Project Manager will also be required to step in and assist with technical tasks as required.
As this is an end to end project management role, the candidate will also be required to meet with clients, define the solution required and design the service to be delivered.

This role consists of the following typical tasks
• Identify customer’s technical requirements and design a solution that meets the client’s needs
• Work with key stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support the business goals
• Assign relevant engineers to projects
• On site engineer scheduling and rostering
• Liaise with customers to communicate the scheduled site visits
• Project manage projects using project management methodologies
• Liaise with internal teams such as finance and operations to ensure rosters are accurately updated and staff are correctly utilised
• Deliver projects on time, on budget and to the expected quality of the organisation
• Create and manage project budgets
• Plan and manage the project life cycle from conception to client handover
• Liaise with project stakeholders throughout the project life cycle
• Develop project plans and associated communications documentation
• Identify project pre-requisites, dependencies, constraints, risks and critical paths and manage these proactively
• Work collaboratively with the leadership team to develop detailed project schedules, resource requirements and key milestones and manage these throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Conduct project ‘Lessons Learnt’ and create recommendations that will improve future project delivery
• Drive teams to deliver solid technology solutions
• Manage client expectations and relationships.

Minimum Experience Required:
• You must have several years’ I.T. industry experience with full life-cycle Project Management experience in innovative small to mid SME solutions
• Experience in planning, organising, and controlling resources and tasks
• Excellent knowledge of formal project management methodologies and processes
• Experience communicating at all levels. Strong verbal and written skills are essential
• Experience building project plans that ensure the quality of the deliverables, and conform to the standards and best practices defined by the organisation
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to build consensus and bring the project forward
• A great problem solver with an ability to get to the root cause of a problem and put corrective actions and preventative measures in place
• Ability to set and work to strict project deadlines
• Experience in Managed Service technologies, solution architecture, platforms, services and data storage
• You must be a competent and well organised project manager capable of dealing with a dynamic fast-moving environment
• Customer focused

• Extremely organised and able to react to changes quickly
• A hands-on approach to work and willing to get involved in the smaller tasks if required
